Michael L. Gurev serves as the firm's managing attorney. He heads the Freeman Firm's transactional department, which encompasses real estate and commercial transactions, and business entity formation, organization, financing, and acquisitions. Mr. Gurev successfully navigates through the quagmire of legalese, making complicated documents clear and concise. He carefully drafts and reviews documents to ensure they accurately reflect the client's wishes and conform to any statutory requirements. Mr. Gurev embodies the firm's principle of excellence, providing legal services of the highest quality.
Mr. Gurev is well-known for his aggressive advocacy on behalf of the Freeman Firm's clients. His civil litigation practice includes bank loan/guaranty disputes; business disputes; and agribusiness, farming, and food processing matters. Additionally, Mr. Gurev provides estate planning services.
Mr. Gurev attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. In 1992, Mr. Gurev earned his juris doctorate with distinction. He was a member of the Traynor Scholastic Honor Society and served as Assistant Articles Editor for The Transnational Lawyer from 1991-1992. Mr. Gurev received his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and business economics.
Mr. Gurev is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California. He is a member of the American Bar Association; the State Bar Association of California; the San Joaquin County Bar Association; and the Sacramento County Bar Association.
